# How to Price Mobile ADAS Calibration Jobs
The hardest part of running a mobile ADAS calibration business is not the calibration. It is quoting a number that covers your equipment, your drive time, your documentation liability, and still lands under the collision shop's or glass company's internal sublet cap. Price too high and the shops route around you. Price too low and one warranty comeback erases a week of margin. This guide breaks down how experienced mobile calibrators actually build a price, with real ranges you can defend on the phone.
What You Are Actually Selling
You are not selling a scan and a target board. You are selling a documented, OEM-procedure-compliant calibration that a shop can hand to an insurer and a plaintiff's attorney without flinching. Every job has three cost buckets that a good price has to absorb:
- Time on the vehicle: pre-scan, procedure lookup, target setup, the calibration itself, and the post-scan.
- Drive and setup overhead: your travel to the shop, unloading target stands, and finding a level, well-lit bay big enough to run a static procedure.
- Liability and documentation: the report packet that proves you followed the OEM procedure, captured pre and post DTCs, and verified completion.
